2011 journal *handmade*

so here I am in another deranged mission ..... this time is to make my own 2011 journal, my own handmade book, my own printed pages, notes and the craziest of them all is to bind it using my own handmade copic stitching .... which I learned thru' a youtube video ....

some people might call me sad, I know, for years I've been a big fan of moleskine journal .... moleskine notebook, which is available on almost every bookshop here in Dubai. But somehow *i think it's aging process* this year, which is already end of january 2011, I am inspired or possessed to handmade this 2011 journal.

So I went for it. Managed to finish everything except the stitching in 4 hours. Sick I know, but doing the thing is like falling in love to me, you willing to sacrifice anything just to get it done. The copic stitching itself is easy peasy. I did redo it after the first attempt failed, I didn't press the book firmly while stitch it, so it end up very loose. I did the second time with my so beloved red bakers time and loving the result. Cover is just chipboard covered with patterned paper. Plan to do a fabric cover later. Inside is a water color paper. I love the subtle texture and thickness
