.... past the midnite and I am still struggling to find idea for my scrapbook on the road album. FYI, I am about to travel home in 3 days time. Just me and Harris (my no.2 son), I call it my soul restoration trip. :)
I planned to prepare a travel mini book for this trip. I originally have imagined something like Evalicious travel mini book, but still unsure on what should be the contents inside. Therefore I purchased Ali Edwards class for scrapbook on the road to get a better idea. Ali's class as usual has able to give me clear direction and simplify things that I need to do. The book should be small enough to be carried. I want to write the journalling on the spot, and if possible collect and adhere the trip ephemera on the spot also. But, I don't want all this to become burden during my trip. I wanna still enjoy it to the max!!! ... Ali's travel mini book itself is quite inspiring even though I prefer more color to my book (more like evalicious).
So I started choosing the paper to build up my book just now. Normally, I just need a paper to start with and build the rest of the book along the same line with the first paper.
So far, I want the cover to have map on it, something like this paper (Studio Calico; Documentary-JetSet)
the same paper that I used for the cover of my 2011 agenda.
But after that, blank .... I keep on matching paper after paper but still has not find anything that I like. Nothing click. Dead end.
Another news is JoSoCrafty latest challenge. Flower and Butterfly layout.
I am so happy with the simplicity of this layout. I love all the color combination, the alphas and so on. I can't stop myself staring it. Weird eh, somehow the layout that I happened to love is not the layout that I consider the best. It just click. :) :)
So that's it, I am so tired and want to sleep now. Have a nice weekend ev'one.

Hi Riri, it is very exciting you are starting the new project - travel mini-book! I love Evalicious art journals as well!! I am definitely gonna do something like this in the future. I think for our summer vacation in Portugal.. Regarding the "dead end" I think you just need some time to mature the idea, it should come naturally. it is usually happening to me, and as much as i push as longer it would take.. I am sure you would come with a great ideas!! Good luck! .. Love your Flower and Butterfly layout!!
